Yes, unfortunately when the “vertical” strip isn’t laying vertical, it is no longer flattering. But, I have to say, I have “grown” to accept my “diagonal” stripes. :)
When you’re carrying around too much — I’ve been there; I must have gained and lost the same 50 pounds a half-dozen times over the years — shirts that button down the front are never comfortable, and don’t look good. Think polo shirts. Or a hoodie. Or in extreme cases, a toga….
