I had a # that was one off from the American Leagon. The callers would not belive me at three am when told they had the wrong #.The calls got better for me when I would say(whoever they wanted to talk too), Hay,didn’t you know,.He/She died and we are having a wake. Come on over.

My number, when I lived in town, was the same as a prominent defense attorney with only a slight difference in the prefix (474 vs 447). I never had the heart to tell someone any stories for what might be their one phone call. But I sure was tempted.

Funny, formally…………… Some people in the old days could play tunes over the intercom………….

Sounds like that guy in Wisconsin named Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop who got arrested the other day (I am not making that up).

My kid, who gets his copy of the Doozies every day in his lunch-box, pointed out that of course Mr. D got a wrong number … because his penultimate number was a beep when Mr. D said it should have been a boop.
