You’d think one of his servants would have a presh pot ready & waiting for him when he woke up. Besides, there are some countries you just don’t want to mess with.
Stimulants always drive society’s achievements. Some remember when amphetamines were legal in America as the ‘go-go’ years…you know, a man on the moon, all of the inventions we take for granted? It might be time for a new stimulant in America, something between coffee and that Peruvian marching powder…and legal and not bad for your health…America’s economy would be out of the doldrums in a year…
Quitting smoking after 12 yrs was easy compared to trying to get off the caffeine. I comsole myself in my failure to quit coffee with ‘I can quit any time I want. I just don’t want to!’ Nyah!
Not sure what you’re asking, but the coffee plant is native to Ethiopia. The legend of its discovery is that two of a goat herder’s charges found a bush with ripe beans (fruit, really) and started eating them… with noticeably very frisky results.
You’re right. British Columbia doesn’t have the climate for coffee. The province has another cash crop. .The King doesn’t want to invade Canada. Its all snow & ice and ice & snow in Canada. There’s polar bears and beavers that invade tents and stuff like that.
My sister lives in Canada (BC and then Alberta) and have expenienced some rather hot days when visiting. She always said that it can get to -40, but you don’t notice it since it’s a dry cold. My dad paid a visit once and it got to -30F.(He said he noticed it!)

I drink 1&1/2 cup coffee a day. I drink it for taste as I am retired and need no boost in the AM. I just love good coffee.Yea I can live without it..

Such switch in announcements happened in Orwell’s “1984”, even mid-sentence! Big Brother is impetuous!

Doesn’t necessarily follow. We have invanded distant lands, Iraq being only the most recent example.

Winter is NOT a good time to invade Canada…just ask Hitler about winter…(Russian and canadian winters are very similar)

The way the sentry is sleeping, you’d think there weren’t any Huns within a thousand miles.
