talking to yourself is ok. the problems arise when someone in there starts to talk back at you.

Horace talks to himself because he is the only one who listens to him!!

How mad am I at myself? No matter what I say I’m still not talking to myself.

I’m still losing arguments with me.

I always do what the little voices tell me!

I’m with Plods: the problem is not the inner voices, or the arguments. It’s when I lose the arguments.

Which reminds me of the old joke about Madonna and Cher having a fight. They are no longer on a first-name basis with each other.
