But wouldn’t a sweet lovable tiger cub grow up to be a feared predator?

Note: Beginning tomorrow, I will be away for at least two months, returning sometime after Easter. Have a great spring everyone, and enjoy Bill Watterson’s post-sabbatical comic strips (today’s is from February 3rd, 1992, so there are about three years of strips remaining before Watterson retired). I’ll catch up on the comments when I return.

I purchased a few Calvin & Hobbes books for my grandkids… then I made the mistake of reading them first..!!! I laughed so hard, that I had the best day ever – and even though I gave the books to the kids, I now have some books of my own to enjoy again and again…!!! Try it. They are great. Better than Comfort food..!!!

Very few thing will eat cat, vultures will if nothing else is available. However, I heard a story about a threshing crew from years ago. On threshing day, it was up to the wife and daughters to fix dinner for the threshing crew. Come dinner time, they were told that they were being served rabbit. However, later in the day, one of the men went out behind one of the outbuildings and noted that a number of cats had been skinned!(Bet they had trouble getting help in later years)

@Dogsniff: It’s just that I became so jealous of your freedom when you were gone from here for a few days, that I had to take some time off myself. :>)Seriously, I take some time away from here during Lent each year to focus on other things and do some study, both religious and secular. But this year it will also include some time before and after, due to additional demands with my job and some other pursuits. I’m counting on you to fill in for me while I’m away, by writing at least 6 or 8 paragraphs per day. :>)

Thanks, rgcviper, and others, for your kind comments. I know from experience that I will miss being here, as it’s a great group to “meet up with” every day. Really unique, with very interesting people who are a lot of fun. I particularly enjoy the diversity of life experiences, humor, knowledge, skills, ages, parenting styles, cultures / countries / climates / hemispheres, and yes, even the occasional comments on religion and politics (the polite ones, that is). And I appreciate the group more when I’ve been away.
