The thing is, you never stop learning, Calvin – even if you do stop going to school.

Advice from dad… “Advice is something we get from our parents, but we don’t use it, we save it and give it to our kids.”

I like “goldpost” – it’s quite poetic. But what is “jesis”?

What I’d like to see some day is for Calvin to have a dream about his future as a father of Calvin Junior.

Usually ‘a word to the wise is sufficient’, but in this case, a word to Calvin was sufficient …for now!

I found that if you want to find out how knowledgeable someone is on a subject. Ask them to tell you everything that they don’t know about it . The more you know about something, the more you know there is to learn.

You never stop learning. When I went to college, tubes were still king. The four years had one course on transistors (1961) plus the course on computers was evenly divided between digital and analog computers.

I’m 45 now, and I agree with Calvin more than ever: Let them be kids and explore at their own pace; let them start learning the moment they, themselves appreciate its value. Then, help then all you can as an adult.
