Huh?! Those who have parachuted out of a crashing plane are eligible to join the Worldwide Caterpillar Club! Animal breeding programs in ancient Egypt were dedicated entirely to producing enough cats, birds, and dogs to meet the demand for animal mummies! Sake it up! To support prefectures hurt by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, many Japanese bought large quantities of Japanese rice wine, sake, produced in the region- bumping up sales by as much as 39%!

So things might not have gotten much better that Spring, but people cared about 39% less.

I’ve parachuted out of perfectly good airplanes, but never one on its way to crashing. Probably mostly reserves for military pilots.

Nothing adds a kick to sake like a touch of tritium.
James Hopkins almost 13 years ago
Not quite, he used an inflatable raft, not a parachute. ;)

Does a parachute represent butterfly wings?
markhughw almost 13 years ago
I think it has to do with the silk, made by caterpillars, used to make parachutes

If I have a parachute, it’s more likely that:“I Will Survive”!

Oh… Sake it up… You know it’s pronounced sah-keh, right? Took me a while.

Everyone in the military who jumps out of perfectly good airplanes (or helicopters, as the case may be) has VOLUNTEERED to do so, and apparently enjoy doing so, for the most part. So, bearing this in mind, why are you calling those who order them to make the jumps idiots? Especially when you consider that these same “idiots” are among those tasked with defending your freedom?

Spent a Christmas drinking a little sake if Sendai back in 1952.

I wonder if any of the members of the Caterpillar Club got drunk off sake before their successful jump?
