    Well yeah…. no one’s going to watch those people lose money. and the auctioneers are probably seeing a lot more bidders because of this show.

    My wife works for an auction company. At first, she was sad every time she had to break the truth to the folks who had just found almost the entire collection of Beanie Babies (for example) in a storage locker, and thought they could auction it off, retire, and buy a small island near Tahiti. Now, she finds it to be one of the job’s perks.

    Just for the record, I’ve nothing against the show. Nothing at all. This is really more of an inside joke for the wife and I. Often when I’m taking out the trash or something, I’ll shout out at the wife: “Well I’ll be … There’s a genuine Ark of the Covenant beneath this pale of dirty diapers.”

    i like the ones that spend thousands, get excited, and the garbage is really worth…nadai actually saw someone, spirit and image of barry, in barnes and noble, trying to make the poor store clerk say, yes, the first american hardback of Deathly Hallows is worth big bucks – nnn…nope
