I went to the big Farmers’ Market by the Bay Bridge one day in early November. The morning news said the whole area would be in the 50s and 60s, so I took my oversized baseball jacket. It was in the 60s outside my hotel in Union Square. Once I got down the street to the Ferry Building 1/2 hour later, it was in the 80s. Better too warm than too cold, I guess.
