NO that’s the wrong way! I hate it, when the toilet paper is that way. So you have to grab a piece away from the back-wall. Otherwise you have the piece hanging in the are and no truble to grab.
I failed a barracks inspection for putting it that way. “Sorry, Sir. At home the private has cats. From now on, the private will place the paper over the top in traditional Marine fashion, Sir!”
I remember getting some internet screed that said some t.p. company did a survey about how people liked to put the roll. About eighty percent would say that she put it on the wrong way. However, if I were a cartoonist I would draw it the way these guys did because it seems clearer. Just sayin’ …
Dry How true. Except, since I live alone, I can only speak for toilet holders in the public domain- no one changes them either, even if there is a spare roll on the tank. It just gets used without putting it on the roller…
After about 20 years of marriage, with me always switching the TP around to the “right” way (no cats) - we installed a 2nd dispenser. Now there is one for over and one for under. I wish we had done that years earlier, but I didn’t know it was such a big deal to him which way it was on the holder.

And she even put it on the right way (well, right for a houshold with kids and cats).

I was going to say she was teaching him to put it on wrong ! It comes from under the sink, kid…watch and learn to do it yourself.

which is why it’s the right way for a home with cats and kids! or you end up with the whole roll in a pile on the floor

Who cares which way it goes, no one else in my house knows how to put a new roll on except me, and I don’t care which way it goes!
