And the children start to fight already…. let me say this about these useless political bickering…. as long as each side calls the other stupid and only votes by there party line then this country will just keep falling into this stagnate slow death we have been for so many years now. each side has good and right ideas and each side has it morons with both sides being as closed minded as and old bigot they cant see the facts for what they are and work out a solution from both there minds.. all Washington is today is a Civil cold war, and all you “by my party line” people are just keeping in that quagmire

The arguing is pointless, everyone vote for whomever you’re going to vote for and leave it at that.

Listen to yourself for a second. Very few people are going to be able to amass enough wealth to allow for private space travel. The energy cost of just lifting the average 190 lb man into orbit make a round-trip flight from the US to China a cheap affair.

I hate to break the news to all those who blame Obama for shelving the Shuttle program before a replacement was vetted and ready to carry on seamlessly but that decision was carved in stone during the George Bush Administration.

If we’d spend less time pointing fingers and calling names, and more time working for the improvement of ourselves and our country, then we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in.

Party lines don’t matter. You must research these people. In 2008 I found plenty of interviews and voting records that showed who would and wouldn’t support the space program. George W had already shut down the shuttle and we knew the next phase was on the line with the next president. I found that Obama, Romney and Ron Paul were all against the space program in it’s entirety. Clinton, McCain, Thompson, etc. all loved the program and would’ve kept it going and possibly went back to the shuttle consider the high price of scrapping it all and starting over. Especially since they have yet to come up with one thing that works and that could do even half of what the shuttle can. Reagan, Bush Sr. and his son Jeb, and (as much as I hate to admit it) Bill Clinton were amazing supporters of the program. When Jeb and his wife showed up with Laura to see a launch they were wonderful and friendly and very much enthralled with everything. I suggest you all, regaurdless of party, do your research. Google for interviews, voting records and anything else you can think of. I know if we want the space program back we must keep Obama, Ron Paul and Mitt Romney out of the White House! They will put the last nail in it’s coffin given the chance. KSC is holding on as best they can to get to the new president without disposing of everything to the point of no return. Please give them hope when you vote. I know it breaks my heart when my 2 yr old nephew watches a video of the launches and excitedly screams “Space Shuttle” over and over again. I can’t wear my team shirts around him without him grabbing them and doing the same thing. Not with the Atlas or Titan or any other rocket. Just the shuttle. If one of the others launch he will watch for a second and then gets bored. He stared at the sky forever when it was the shuttle going up. There is a difference. This proves how out of touch our government is with the future of our country. We need a president and congress that answers to God, not thinks they are God.
