This strip really “tickad” my funny bone! (sorry, I couldn’t help it!)

I use a ticket calculator daily at my job even with a computer at my desk. And as gmartin said about those fingers flying; I don’t look or really think of where the #s are and only when I do- I end up with mistakes.

Old joke: 3 applicants for a CPA position: First one adds up a huge list on the calculator in 15 sec. 2nd adds the same list but in his head. 3rd one folds his hands, looks at the boss, and asks, “What do you WANT them to add up to?”

Don’t forget that Lizzie grew up and got married already.The strip is now set in the past.

At least she’s honest.

I watched people who could fly over those things without even looking at the machine and never make an mistake. It’s a gift neither John nor I have.

I can’t do it at all either but my husband is extremely good at it because he studied to be a CPA in college (around the same time this was originally drawn).
