Karl, I’m curious. Is this novel a religious sort of “smiting”, or more of a playful thing? Is there malice on anyone’s part?

Who gave the dog a watch? You should never have told her that it was. Now she’ll hold you to it.

On the back of that stone, it’s carved “Cleo eats every hour of the day”.

I never even knew Cleo was a watch dog.

    Dennis has a question…Liverlips has a question… Grog has a question….

Well, I have a question, too.

(Hmmm…. Does that mean this whole thing is questionable?

NO, that was not my question. I get a Mulligan.)

What I want to know is, where does Cleo carry her pocket watch?

The chain doesn’t appear to be hanging straight down…. it looks more like it’s disappearing into her pocket.

Does her pelt have a Levi’s-style watch pocket?

    I can tell it’s not SlimFit™.

I’m not surprised she can carve stone, though… I mean, we’ve all noticed that she can be a little chiseler.

In regards to Liverlips’ question, about Karl, and the “smiting”…

I don’t see how one can smite without some sort of painful intent….

I mean, some believe it’s not “malice” if it’s in the cause of just retribution….

personally, I don’t believe in corporal punishment or revenge.

But justified or not, according to one’s own beliefs… I don’t think anyone would find it playful were someone to smite him… or her.

That’s an awkward sentence…. I was going to type “to be smitten”…. but that seems to have another meaning, which can be playful, for a while.

All I know is, he’d better not let PerkyCat catch him reading that book.

And that brings up another+ question:

    Where are you, PerkyCat?

I know you’re not missing cos I saw you elsewhere yesterday.

    We need you!
