I beg to disagree with you. The money was in an organ that the church acquired legally. Anyone trying to claim that money and take it home with them is stealing from the church. Any lawyer and any judge would support the clergyman on this point. By the way, I am a pastor. And I’m here to tell you that nearly all of us are drastically underpaid. Not as much as school teachers, but our profession is one of the lowest paid professions in our society.

Remember this money is not the church’s nor God’s..it was stolen.

At least the parole officer didn’t get it.

How much did they get for “fixing” the organ?

@hillbillyman: Davidf42 was not whiney, he was making a simple statement of fact about his profession His response was to a blanket hate statement made by scuttlebutt99..@Susan: The FDIC pays as soon as the appropriate paperwork goes through. As soon as it is determined that the money was stolen in a bank robbery the FDIC will step in to recover the now found money. At best the church might get a reward for recovering the money. .
