Well, he wouldn’t have worn that cap for a start.

Good point, Edcole. A simple wrist band would have been in much better taste. Not to mention being a lot less likely to get him a contempt of court charge.

What would he do? He’d make sure the scriptwriters always made him the winner in the end, and that every case could be fully untangled in 30 minutes. Also, he’d always go up against a lawyer named Ham Burger (and I’m not making that up).

SherlockWatson… I never quite put the formula together like that before… 1st have hour is the detective part of the show and 2nd half hour is the courtroom stuff… now it kind of feels like Dick Wolf grew up on Perry teevee…

Isn’t that what Law and Order does? My only problem with L&W is that the courtroom part is much too true to life. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose, sometimes there’s a plea bargain. Not nearly as satisfying as Perry Mason, when the bad guy just gets caught in a corner by Perry’s masterful cross-examination and screams out, “Yes, I did it, but she had it coming!!!!”

He probably wouldn’t have as lame a client as you.
