Good morning Annie fans. Yes it’s true! The world is getting worse. Too much evil not enough good to dispel it. Too much apathy. Not enough compassion.

And to think, some people thought that the world was safer after the Soviet Union dissolved. We were safer when there were two super powers with Mutually Assured Disaster, then now with all these minor, but crazy, people running around.

sorry Annie I must disagree — Hitler and Stalin were far worse, especially where killing their own citizens are concerned — estimates vary but the consensus is that Stalin killed about 20 million people during his regime (estimates go as high as 50 million). Hitler killed about 6 million Jews and about 7-8 million others; but because Hitler started WWII, it’s reasonable to add another 28 million deaths. Plus, there’s the horrific and systematic way Hitler did his mass killings in concentration camps.Not to mention Mao, who killed an estimated 40 million, and that’s probably conservative.

Fuzzy thinking, like “moral equivalence,” doesn’t help.

And yet mankind still thinks they can get along without God. As Moses said in the “Ten Commandments”. “It would take more than a man to free the slaves, it would take a God!” The same is true about bringing peace to the world. It will take more than a man or woman leader or even a United Nations, it will take a God!
