SAM’S SCHOOL for SUPERVILLAINSBayonne, NJLesson #15: ResearchNo matter how self-centered or narcissistic you are, hurting, vengeful or whatever the driving force is behind your decision to become a supervillain, don’t be so full of yourself that you neglect simple tasks that do wonders to keep your criminal enterprise going… like a little basic research.Obviously, our case study above has heard of the “power behind the kid,” as it were, at least to the point where he knows “Daddy’s” got a lot of money. But apparently he is unaware of the VAST amount of resources also at his command – especially in the realm of the paranormal (and possibly supernatural). Had he taken the time to read the first chronicles written by Harold Gray, he would have quickly found that that “Daddy” was dead once before, until intervention. He also would have found out the abilities of some of the more… colorful, shall we say… folks on Warbucks’ payroll. With THAT kind of backup, it’s doubtful a little pentagram amulet is going to cause him to back off.Unless, of course, the little trinket in which our aspiring antagonist is putting such great trust is the key to something more powerful than whatever Warbucks has got. (Sadly, unless you’re vying for continuity in underground comics, this is seldom the case…)

That circled pentagraph on the pendant around his neck is an occult symbol, scary.
