June: He did it again! I can't believe it! Ralph, when you put away a box of crackers, you need to close the bag inside properly! Don't just wad up the bag and close the flap! Fold the bag down and over! Like this! Then go to the drawer and get one of these plastic food clamps and clamp it shut! Otherwise, the bag comes open and the crackers get stale! Don't be a dummy! When you want something to stay closed, put a clam on it! Ralph: OK! June: Come back here and explain that smirk!

If you eat the crackers they don’t have time to get stale…

Crackers don’t last long enough to get stale at my house.

I have a rant about the right way and the wrong way to put away an opened box of crackers or cereal, and it does absolutely no good. So I entertain myself by going behind whoever and taking the bag out of the box, folding the top down properly, putting a clothspin on it and putting it in the cabinet. Then I breakdown the box and put it in the trash. For you slow thinkers, if you take the box away, they can’t stuff the bag inside it —even if it’s empty. Also you can see at a glance when to add it to the shopping list. And for your information the box does absolutely nothing to keep whatever fresh.See? Nobody listened, nobody learned anything. That was a waste of a perfectly good rant.

My grandfather used to put the empty box back in the cupboard after he’d eaten the crackers out of it!
My Mom said that never in her life did she EVER hear them say even one unkind word to or about each other. He was German, she was Irish and they lived through two world wars together in harmony!

if he finishes the box, he doesn’t have to do all that.

…and unless you gotta real death wish don’t even think about just spinning the bread around and folding the wrapper under, even though it is still just as closed as using the twist tie or the clip thingy…anyway I get my digs back when I have to repeatedly fill up the sugar bowl and canisters, and apparently I’m the only one here who can change the TP and paper towel rolls..wheeeee!
