I think it works better on father than son. I doubt Adam thinks Laura is weird. That’s a son-to-mother thing. Adam probably just walks away even more confused.

but, unfortunately, the dolphin’s full attention is directed at the evil narwhal so intensely, that the dolphin does not notice the equally evil krool. cunning and resourceful, the krool steals the leap year day and the seashells it was made from. Now the poor dolphin will need four more years to construct another day to be added to February……..It seems , like clockwork, something evil always destroys that extra day. if the dolphin wasn’t so slow in constructing it, there would be 29 days EVERY February.that’s my story and I’m sticking to it

Sometimes trying to answer questions means no alone time—and I guess Laura needs hers right now.

Laura could be weird sometimes! Like one time she went into Katy’s parent-teacher conference and she was playing with toys like destroying blocks and other stuff! Other than that she wore a skirt to the conference as well and since then she would never wear a skirt ever again! And I don’t blame her.

At least she didn’t give a false answer that her son could believe, like Calvin’s father did repeatedly.
