Get ready, Luann……..here it comes.

And if Gunther does kiss her, who walks in…Quill or Rosa?

Recommendation that Luann tell Rosa to every time she sees Gunther give him a sloppy wet kiss, and them walk away. After several times of that he will get use to it and learn how to return it. Or else she will give up, and tell him to take a hike.

I don’t think he’s gonna kiss her, I think she’s gonna kiss him, to “demonstrate her theory” – THEN Rosa’s gonna walk in, and it’ll all break loose.

To quote a famous man long ago, “A kiss should be spontaneous— like a heart attack.”

Hope today’s strip will be the last of Gunther we will see in a while. I am so ready to move on to the next arc.

Methinks the irony of the third panel is going to go right over the top of most commentators heads today.Yesterday we had it cleared up once and for all that Gunther is not gay (and it being related to being a seamster with a single doting mother is an invalid stereotype), yet that was the exact opposite of what most posters understood.

C’mon, Gunther. Time to loosen up, set aside the notes, and get some real-life practice with Luann. Then, go find Rosa and demonstrate your newly acquired boldness….

I vote for a sweet touch in a sweet spot.

Luann’s body language is aggressive in the 1st panel, but in the 3rd panel her eyes are half shut, and her arms are down. She’s wide open for a sudden “practice kiss” from Gunther.

The worse thing he can do is give Rosa a “spontaneous kiss” and when Rosa asks whats happened to him, he says, “I’ve been talking to Luann.” That would really kill it.

We should remember this is high school, and they have little real experience with affection. Still, for Pete’s sake Gunther… practice a touch of the hand with Lu at least!

I hope Luann tells Gunther that Rosa is the one to practice with.

Can’t wait until their first date….I remember mine! Well, today’s kids date a whole different way. But it was my first hug.

Gunther is Gunther. Don’t take notes. You know what you want to do. Just do it. Right now your future looks bleak. You know Rosa won’t wait forever.

You were able to explain to Luann that Quill was attracted to Luann because physical beauty was not thye only item on his ‘girlfriend" list. Can’t you see that Rosa is much the same?

This would be a great time for Luann to attempt to show Gunther what he should do and then realize she’s the one who hasn’t been paying attention— and have to sit on the sidelines and watch Rosa, envying every second.
