Locher Auditorium: a nice touch! I had no idea that the Mole was illiterate. Well, it’s never too late to learn! I wonder what entrance music Thunderchild is using?

Quite a contrast—the Mole’s humility versus Thunderchild’s attempt to hold on to his fleeting fame..

Excellent strip. Once again, we get a tender moment that doesn’t slow down the story. Also, another nice nod to Dick Locher.

Those GREEN bulbs in the Mole’s underground Den really get to me. Seemingly, ‘out of place’ in that sort of establishment.

Wasn’t he reading a book sometime during the Molene/Johnny Scorn story arc?

Vitamin’s line calling Mole “a fine fellow” reminds me of The Wind In The Willows. Great great strip.

Tarry Plaguer, I feel so dim-witted. I do (did) get it after you so graciously pointed it out (yesterday).

I strongly agree with this. Although the gentlemen who bring us Tracy writes these strips months in advance, this could be a followup story for the Mole and illiterate adults.

Thank goodness I was instilled with a strong love of reading. Even though at times I have to eat peanut butter, because of my library :)

I didn’t get that Mole was illiterate; I thought he couldn’t read because he was nearly blind as a mole! Green lights are used, like in photo darkrooms, because the human eye is most sensitive to green.

I realise this isn’t his strip, but… Is anybody else waiting for The Mighty Thor to drop by to have words with Thunderchild?

I wish they had not killed Johnny Scorn off so soon. He was one of the classist crooks Dick Tracy ever had. Plus he would make me want popcorn the way he was always eating it.

Locher Auditorium. Be careful if it has a fountain, it might go FLOOM!

“Green lights are used, like in photo darkrooms, because the human eye is most sensitive to green.”When someone mentioned “green” lightbulbs I believe they were referring to the earth-friendly aspect of them, not their color. They do seem out of place and since a point was made of showing Mole installing them I wonder if they are going to play a part in the plot somewhere along the line.
