So many of my friends from South of Here love the tradition of the America their parents loved…the cars, the doo wop, all of it.
You know, when WE were still innocent and fun? Even kids could hitchike everywhere. In the sixties we could ‘crash’…ie, sleep at a strangers’ house and nothing happened but friendship.
And then what? Nam, Reagan…! and all their jerks since then. Now wonder Baldo’s been raised to want a piece of that memory.

Sadly this strip is stuck in the 20th century. Look at Baldo pining for a Ragtop Impala instead of something High-tech and trendy.
