Why the @#%& would anyone boil socks?
Andy’s going to need a beer now.
Actually, boiling the socks works a little better than putting them in the microwave.
Remember the old song – OH … who put the overalls in Mrs. Murphy chowder !!!!
This cartoon would have been funnier for me, if Andy had tasted that ‘soup’ and decided that Flo’s cooking had improved
It’s a good thing Andy’s underwear isn’t in that pot !
Andy should change socks a lot more often, then Flo doesn’t need to boil them to get them pliable and soft again :0
Andy’s socks require boiling – after playing soccer and/or rugby. then 8 to 12 hours at the bar, they gotta be pretty toxic….
Boiling water and lye soap. I don’t know how or why it was done that way, but I’m glad my good ol’ days came after those good ol’ days.
Oh my God… Sooooooo funny.
LOL. I love Andy’s face expression!

You would of thought Andy would learn his lesson after THIS experience.
Wellll now, bless her heart. Flo was finally able to
‘sock it to ’im!’
Darned socks!!
I vaguely remember when boiling was a regular part of laundry day. ALL the clothes were boiled before being put in with the soap. I think it’s no longer done that way because it “set” stains. (Why it was done that way at all escapes me.)
