    Reggie peaks carefully around the corner. He never knows when Mabel might decide to sneak up on him with an inflated paper bag and pop it…

    Thankfully we won’t have to do that again. What harrowing experience. My custom van was totally trashed and G. I. Joe’s velvet covered restraints were chewed to ribbons (♫♪Lovely ribbons, Velvet ribbons lying there ♫♪). But Reggie should keep an eye out for that pesky flying cat. He should invest in an early warning system. I hear NORAD has some old DEW Lines Systems on sale.

    @Essex60

    wrote “…grabbed him and took him to the vet for neutering…. Reggie ain’t gonna let that happen again.” This implies that the vet was not successful in his operating skills the first time and while Reggie was enjoying some quiet time reading of the U.S. Constitution noticed that the 5th Amendment forbids double jeopardy. However he feels he must be diligent of those who interpret the Constitution more liberally than himself.

    All I can say is that I would NOT want to be the one reading in that particular spot, should Mabel, or anyone, successfully startle poor old Reggie. .

    An apology from x_Tech

    I did not mean to imply any correlation between neutering/spaying and becoming a registered voter in any country, state, or realm.

    A true watch dog peering into the darkness and seeing. Always faithful to his calling. Rusty Boy has elevated his sense of duty to the pinnacle of awareness. It was Rusty Boy who lead the SWAT TEAM to the snipers hiding in the backyard. It was Rusty Boy who discovered the robbers in the alley, the troll under the bridge, the aliens in the garage, chased the buffalos back to the park, treed the lion, barked down the gators, scared the ghosts off the porch, opened the trails to the West, the first dog on the moon, played lead guitar for the Grateful Dead, first dog to win the Daytona 500, only dog to sign the Declaration of Independence, only dog to be awarded Rookie Of The Year, two years in a row, and it was Rusty Boy who found the Gecko on the patio.

    All dogs have that. It’s called instinct. Reggie just may be a tad more cognizant of the ongoing threat than most of his litter.
