So the spring story starts with the most bizarre high-five in sports history. The catcher seems to be holding up her right arm, so her hand must be reenacting the Linda Blair scene from the Exorcist. You could break your wrist doing that.

What happened?Gil and Kaz just walked off into the sunset, leaving Rupert and Kitten in their tattoo and not-quite pirated movie haven. I wanted to see some serious retribution like Wildcat and Hobart received.

Basketball season, Kitty, Ransom, tattoos and Lini’s illness – the authors orphan storylines like Gil and Mimi orphaned their kids. High Five!

Thank-you, this is so refreshing. Much better than listening to Marty give a team synopsis.

Why do I have a feeling Darby can hit 90 on the radar gun (or whatever t he softball equivalent is).

The ending of the last story line didn’t show me much either…let the spring sports begin!

Ahhh, hope Springs eternal with Mimi and hopefully Glory (in uniform of course) leading the Fightin’ Larkettes. I suppose the bold little catcher from last season, Tracy Hamilton like Molly, has graduated.

Very lame conclusions (there were none!) time to move on.

For some reason, this new storyline has already got my interest. Let’s hope those pitchers start showing something.

Since they have no pitchers that means either some superstar pitcher will transfer to MILFord or a freshman (Darby?) that never played before even in Middle School will have amazing pitching talent.

Well, that’s a minute of my life each day for the past few months that I’ll never get back. I’m beginning to wonder if Rubin and Whigham have ADHD.

Hopefully their coordination on the field is better than their coordination on a high five!

Gil told the tattoo guy to leave the kids alone. What else were you expecting? An arrest & trial? A gunfight?

@Cliff . . . how about a switchblade fight . . . they do look right out of the 50’s.

@Cliff, the end of the story was too much like real life. Maybe a brawl in the tattoo parlor would have been a bit much, but at least they could have had Parker in there getting another tattoo when Gil came in and exposed Ransom as a fraud. Then we could have seen Parker’s expression of hurt and betrayal, or maybe even Parker leaving with a half-finished tattoo.

We Thorpaholics just keep moving on to the next storyline … hope springs eternal!

I agree with chiphilton. Having a disallusioned Parker in there would have been the perfect ending for this story arc.

My offcial season starts today. Maybe I can contribute a storyline or two to the authors. I’ve had a couple of seasons which were a lot more interesting that the last few Milford seasons. Sometimes you don’t have to make stuff up.

Can Lini pitch?
