politeness is always nice, and appreciating the attractiveness of someone that is of the gender/s you like is what most humans do, If you don’t like it don’t do it. But what other people do is none of your business especially if they do it quietly and without crass behavior.
I’m with Lamberger, Clark. It’s never rude to hold a door for someone and if you’re sweet on them, it’s probably a requirement. Time for a deep breath to gather up perspective…
