nah..usually pastis makes a much broader setup with a single big finish in the next to last panel. here there were a couple of quickies. the idea is similar but the delivery is different.

On Sunday, some papers publish the first couple of panels (called throwaways) and some don’t. So, the whole joke has to stand without them if needed.
