Where is the section for quiet, sane and polite people?

Last few places I went to eat eat where so noisy from the piped in music and crummy acoustics I could not even hold a conversation. And these where NOT even sports bars with the blaring TV’s.

Good argument for eating at home if you ask me. :P

We get up and leave if the other patrons disturb us. I’ve been known to stop and throw money on their table and tell them I’m starting a fund for them to buy some manners. My wife says somebody is going to beat the snot out of me, but truth is it has been almost 30 years since anybody gave it a good try. They are obnoxious but sheep.

I’d put the cell phone users outside with the perfume wearers. I figure kids probably don’t know better, and as a parent who left mid-meal more than once because my daughter was being a brat, I can sympathise. Cell phone users, on the other hand, belong in one of the lower circles of Hell.

As a parent that took the walk outside during a meal many times to calm my son and not bother other customers at the restaurant, I get annoyed at parents that sound like this:

“Timmy I’m only going to tell you this one more time, sit down and behave” and this is the 4th or 5th time they have said the same line to the obviously not caring little brat.

I also hate the parents that sit and with friends and let their kids run around the restaurant bothering other people and getting in the way of hard working servers. If some hot food was to fall on one of their kids guess who would get sued.

It is also annoying to finish a restaurant meal and decide you could have prepared a better meal at home

Seat me by the know-it-all wine snobs. They’ll usually want to show off and pass around the wine that they are experts at choosing.

The obnoxious kids can’t help it it’s the dumbass parents that need a good thrashing. Put them with the cell phone users. I would rather smell perfume then deal with loud talkers, cell phone users (same thing) and dumb ass parents that don’t know how to deal with their children.

I can cook fine, but one of the things I like most about going to the restaurant is I don’t have to deal with the dishes. And remember, if you don’t like being around other restaurant patrons, you can get take-out.

How about this? Put the cell-phone users WITH the loud talkers AND the perfume wearers AND the screaming kids AND the baseball-cap-wearers ALL in a separate room from the people who behave without bothering others (this includes the wine-snobs; who do they bother?) and eat their meal respectfully, in peace.

I suggest we all get together, start our own restaurant and ban all of the mentioned rudies! Especially those obnoxious kids AND their parents!!!
