I convinced my mom and dad to go to the bullfights when we were in Mexico City. First fight (of six) of the day, the bull got a horn into the bullfighter’s belly and virtually eviscerated the poor guy. The bullfighter literally held his guts in while he staggered out of the ring, and was in critical condition for three weeks before he pulled through. “Blood and Sand” indeed.

Yeah, I’m with PETA on this one. Don’t forget about the horses. They often die from being gored by the bulls. The protective capes they wear don’t help them much; their real function is to protect the sensibilities of the foreign tourists. Oh, yeah, the bulls enjoy the fight. Spanish culture, blah, blah, blah. The same lame excuses you get from the dogfighters here. At least, those excuses don’t work here. Just ask Mike Vick.

That’s a sore spot with me, too. All of those people need to go to jail. I’m just thrilled that Mike went to jail. And I will continue to celebrate every Iggle loss as long as that person is the qb. Dream team? Ha.
