I’m both looking forward to and dreading the new Hobbit movies. The Hobbit and R.A. Salvatores Icewind Dale trilogy both got me into the dice and paper games, that I still play. Tho this winters campaign is a house rules star wars game, fun times.
I’m beginning the Two Towers right now. I know Gollum would never give up his Precious. Frodo got a finger bitten off by Gollum because of that ring. The movies really went by the books.
I’d like to know why artists (and character designers) always depict Gollum as pale and/or white? In Return of the King, one of the Rangers of Ithilien (who should have good eyesight) mistook Gollum for “…one of those black squirrels from Mirkwood.”For many years, I used to do an annual re-reading of the trilogy.

I don’t believe this. Is this a stag horn handle at this price?

We blame the audience for not reading the books. Go read the books.

I LOVED THE BOOKS AND THE MOVIES, AND I WISH THERE HAD BEEN MORE! They needed more than 3 movies to tell the tale!
