…anybody who claims to be a cat psychologist is just trying to scam you. Cats want what they want when they want it, and if what they want conflicts with what they want, they want it anyway, and you’d just better damn well figure out how to give it to them, or you’ll never hear the end of it….THAT is cat psychology, in a nutshell.

Ok, here’s the answer kitties: sit in the doorway, half in and half out.

Robin Williams had a routine about cats: They sit at the door crying “Let Meeyout! Let Meeyout!” If you let them out, they turn around and sit at the door crying “Let Meeyin! Let Meeyin!”

My cat, Snooper, was not nearly as subtle. When she wanted in and thought I was ignoring her (probably true at 2 AM), she climbed the screen door and while hanging on the screen, shook it. It sounded like a police raid! I don’t know where she learned the trick, but it sure was effective.

Love that Chesney’s mouth, it’s always open with something to say – just like my girl ;)
