There are several female NASCAR drivers. Most with more talent, but less buzz than DP. Expectations are far too high for DP. Many openwheel champions have struggled when moving to NASCAR, so no one should expect someone with marginal talent to come in and zoom to the top of the standings.
Good points, Rhonda…and, minus one win, Danica was never more than a mediocre open wheel driver before switching to NASCAR. She’s more concerned about her bank account and image, anyway, so it’s all good.

Honestly do the sponsors care if she can drive or win? Really what is important to them is if she can move their products.

She needs some success to keep her cred, otherwise she’ll end up like Anna Kournikova. Nice bank account but not a racer.
