When we got a puppy, the two cats refused to come into the house. That lasted about a week. We put their food dishes outside but the possums beat them to it much of the time. And they can be mean.
Today’s though rerun, reminds me of here oposite. We have a cat inspected every inch of carpet when we moved to a different house, did a lot of hissing as a different cat used to live in this house, then much later our daughter had to bring in a female dog and the cat scared the dog then lastly brought in a 8-month-old puppy who absolutly loved playing with the cat the cat does not like the dog now grown.
We had a cat for two years. Then our son brought home a dog. This dog was raised with cats so he tried to introduce himself and all. But the cat didn’t know dogs and climbed up the wall. After awhile, both cat and dog were at least casual buddies.
