I thought maybe there making a lame reference to the end of the Mayan calendar. I never considered they may be ending this strip. That would be most unfortunate. Todays Candorville is also referencing to the end of the world
I think as 12/21/12 gets closer, all the cartoonist will be ratcheting up the humorous, or not so humorous, rhetoric. When 12/21/12 passes without any unusual events occurring, I just wonder if any of them have story lines for why all the predictions failed. Hint: the Mayan calendar, which is made of stone, had a previously unnoticed chip in it which caused “scientists” and “translators” to miscalculate the “true date of the end of time”. That might sound plausible. Problem is, a new date, decades in the future of course, will have to be calculated.
The thought NEVER occurred to me that they might consider ending the strip. That would be devastating. I’ve already lost a few of my beloved comic strips. This would be the final blow.

Re: Sunday strip.I’m starting to wonder if “Rudy Park” has gone to a Monday-Saturday publishing plan. I can’t find Sunday’s strip ANYWHERE!
