Merida, Yucatan! I was so tired when I finally arrived at my hotel, I slept the whole afternoon and evening and only woke up a few minutes ago. Without my laptop, I would have had to wait until the morning to go to a “Sibercafe” to read the comics. I just found out I could go directly from Azcentral to GoComics without writing in a separate link.
REX MORGAN: So Foster’s smile was what made Rex his friend!
MARY WORTH: “Wait! Don’t go! Come back and tell me: was it someone who lied about you that forced you to end up in this condition?”
APT3G: Wise advice, but in Mimi’s condition how will Mimi interpret it when she sees the two of them working together?
HOLA ARYE ! Good MW comment!MARK TRAIL: What kind of plant or “weed” would grow in the climate where the Lost Forest is located? I have the impression that Mark lives in a northern or northwest state. (?)JUDGE PARKER: It appears we have reached the conclusion of this story arc….so I’m guessing we may go back to the farm and check in on Abbey, Neddy and Sophie (I wonder what ever happened to Sophie’s guitar “ambitions”).
Apartment 3-G –Scott really isn’t the brightest lamppost on the street.Judge Parker – New story probably begins Sunday or Monday.Mark Trail – We changed scenes. Who are these two characters and what kind of plants are they talking about? I’m guessing they’re growing marijuana.Mary Worth – I didn’t expect the homeless man to turn away so abruptly.Phantom – The expression on Walker’s face seems to say, “Keep on believing that.”
Mandrake – the lost chord, a haunted mission, Mandrake’s evil brother – makings of an interesting story.A3G – This would be a great time for Nina to walk in the door, as Margo says, “How can I help you, darling?”Not much development in the other strips.
MARK TRAIL: I think I’m trying to answer my own question (above). Here’s a link to a photo of MT creator Ed Dodd in his home-based studio in an area named Lost Forest, near Atlanta, that may have served as a model for MT’s Lost Forest. According to this info. Dodd’s house was located on a tributary of the Chattahoochee River. DODD’S LOST FOREST
basement = sotanothanks for the link Florchi. I’d like to research this person also: The character (Mark Trail) is loosely based on the life and career of Charles N. Elliott
Phantom I love the expressions on all three characters in the last panel. Pride on one boy, “why couldn’t it have been MY dad” on the other and as David said, “you just keep on believing that” on Walker’s.
