The GoComics contest is working again!GoComics is celebrating getting 10,000 likes on Facebook. The idea is to comment to their blog entry saying what your favorite GoComics webcomic is. First 3 people selected by drawing get some books and artwork. Grand Prize winner gets a 10-minute skype conversation with the artist of the comic you choose. Some people put in a full list of what they read, but that just confuses things. I suggest just listing one comic. Preferably Endtown. This is a free and easy way to help give Aaron some visibility. The deadline is around noon today. If you haven’t voted, then please do so. The results should be announced on their Facebook page this afternoon.
Marx may have the right of this plot Though acting as though he’d not got His wits all in grip (Let alone the whole ship) They may all wind up in a spot We know AM’s ship is unique And it seems to be what Flask would seek Its captain, once potent Now puzzles the rodent: AM is suprisingly meek =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum And TODAY’s THE LAST DAY to vote for both For Ursa Major awards!
I had been feeling comfortable that, even though a tad eccentric, Aaron Marx was masterly, fair, good-hearted and had everything under control. Now, he is starting to look flawed, arbitrary, disorganised and having very little under control.I don’t feel so comfortable any more.
He’s a trickster. Could it possibly be that Flask is doing exactly what he expected her to do, and actually WANTS her to do? If that were the case, then he actually is in charge.
The ship is camoflaged by dittos. They project an image to those outside so they cannot see the ship, what if they also project an image inward? Maybe the ship isn’t actually turning, but rather the dittos are rotating the image surrounding the ship so that, to those on board, it APPEARS to be turning? Lots of directions this could go, but I think that when dealing with AM, nothing should be accepted at face value.
Love Wally’s face in panel 4. There’s a certain amount of futility there. Once again, Holly shows her wisdom and understanding of the situation. Arguing with AM just leads to more foolishness. (Not to say AM is a complete fool….I think he knows what he’s about.)
Peter Potamus? Boy, THERE’s a name from my childhood. I’d totally forgotten about him…so are we witnessing one of Peter’s (or Gustine’s)“Hippo Hurricane Hollers?”
And as for Blackie’s outfit, GatoCat, she DOES fill it well. Nice work by Aaron drawing her. If I’m looking at the female anatomy as drawn by an artist, though, I still tilt towards Vargas girls. To me, that’s the Gold Standard.
Thank you to everyone that entered the GoComics contest!!!Three winners were announced:Matt Levin, who chose Pat Oliphant editorial cartoonsSherrie Hall, who likes Cul de Sac Kate Newton, who prefers Pearls Before SwineThere were some cynical members among us that thought GoComics just wanted another Garfield versus Peanuts run-off. The fact that none of the lesser-known comics were selected does not change anything.176 total entries, at least 5 of which were spam.22 people mentioned Endtown. Yay!
I could not find where to enter! I seem to have more trouble doing things than most.“I wrote on go-comics Facebook page and mentioned that and said if it counts I like Endtown best” THey said it doesn’t count but they are starting a new one tomorrow. I THINK they said there will be where to enter shown. It must be the slight dyslexia , the Asperger’s or that ADHD conspiring against me.
As a coyoty, you should know about tricksters. As an agent of Divine Providence, he is way too theatrical. Only time will tell if he can really dance to the Music of the Spheres, beyond those composed of dittos. He’s a radical balance to the angst of our heroes.
The idea was to help promote Endtown in order to gain more visibility to Aaron Neathery, which hopefully would translate to him getting more money, by showing to GoComics that people like reading Endtown. To do this, I suggested to readers here to enter the GoComics contest. The contest was conducted on their blog, and you entered by telling them what your favorite GoComics webcomic is. That’s all.

Agreed. AM would be beside himself if he was not in control of his ship. This smells of a plot to get Flask in line.

The possible good news is, once he realizes the limits of his control, he won’t be so insistently neutral anymore.

It’s good to know that even in this Post-Apocalyptic era, somewhere out there is a Clown College still in business.

There is no point in seeing a trickster’s documentation, since it is obviously forged.

What makes you think that Aaron isn’t still in control of where the ship is going, even if Flask thinks she’s the one that changed the course?
