He’s not far off at all. Mad Men ventured into the early 1960’s and could go farther. Old Dad has is anticipating just past the mid-1960’s, maybe 1968 or so. Trust me. I had those pants, but my shirt was paisley. You’ll know Mad Men has run its course when they get to the watershed events of 1968.
