My dad once rented out a house for FREE! (1950s)It was on a farm he’d just bought and by having someone living there it would cut down on vandalism problems. No rent, but no repairs. Tenant paid utilities. Good deal for both.House finally fell in. Next tenant pulled in a trailer.A friend once asked me if my dad charged him rent? No.If anything, he should pay him to live there!
The most needy people seem to be the most likely to gamble. I have always just barely got by, but I’ll be &%$# if I spend a dime of my hard earned money gambling! They legalized the lottery here in Arkansas about 4 years ago and I have never bought a ticket, so I win every lottery!

Forget betting, Mutt, and double your money the easy way: Fold it in half and put it in your pocket. Your family will thank you.

I checked our old neighborhood when the 1940 census was released. Rent was generally 15 16 bucks in our area.
