I was just discussing this with my boyfriend the other day. There’s a scholarship that you can get for making your prom dress out of duct tape. Some of them look great. I’m not sure on all the details of how to actually make one or anything like that though.

The scholarship is pretty good. Some of the outfits are just amazing. If you go to Duct tapes website they have the last few years of winners on there. It’s amazing what a bit of creative thinking will produce.

Pink duct tape?

The correct name is duck tape. Duck is a heavy cotton cloth, also used for making tents before synthetic fibers took over.

Duct Tape:  a strongly adhesive silver-gray cloth tape, used in plumbing, household repairs, etc. Duck tape is for ducks!

I have a friend that once made a duct tape thong to enter a contest at a bar. HE looked great and was the the only man in the contest.
