    Actually “Christ” is not a proper noun, it is a title, meaning “Annointed”. “The Christ” is a proper noun, referring to Jesus, the leader of the group that became Christianity.“Annointed”, of course, means “Oil has been applied”, so presumably Christians should have greasy hair.

    Rest in Peace, Mr. McCully. You lived a wonderful life. Christmas should be spelled with Christ in front of it. It’s because of Him we have this holiday to honor Him.
