Unless it’s a Black Forest cake, four deep, dark, chocolate layers, the first covered with stabilized whipped cream and layered with cherries, the next layered with chocolate infused whipped cream, plain whipped cream on the next, the top layer and sides slathered with more whipped cream, covered in cherries, shaved chocolate and decorative swirls of cream. Yummmmmmm!

My mom used to make me chocolate chiffon pie for my birthday (and usually a few months late since b-day is very near Thanksgiving). I’m going to make myself one tomorrow.

The register computer at our grocery store keeps count of your bakery pie purchases. I went in to get a pie for mom’s birthday, and it was our free one. Birthday pie is better than pie and FREE birthday pie is the best.They won a national pie competition for their Key lime pie.
