@CommentatorThe original comics were indeed published in color. However, years ago, I scanned all the First Kiss art from the black-and-white photostats I received from Charlton.

These photostat scarns are (at least in theory) cleaner that the printed color pages—-and easier to recolor. (Charlton’s printing was some of the worst.)

In the future, though, I might slip in an occasional scan from the actual printed color comics—-just for novelty’s sake.

(It’s more work for me to go in and rescan the images. So it’s not likely that I’ll do it often. And, frankly, the black and white images are crisper. But…we’ll see.)
