Why do I just get the feeling a certain someone is going to make a remark and Nate will fail…

I have stopped telling yo mama jokes since mother’s day is coming up soon and I can’t think of more jokes.

@carl craig: The “chin” joke isn’t racist. Specifically, if you thought it was implying that Chinese people are fat, or that “chin” was a racial epithet, then you clearly didn’t get the joke.

So I’ll explain… “Chin” is (a transliteration into the Latin alphabet of) a rather common surname in China (hence the phone book part). It’s technically not pronounced the same as the English word “chin”, but puns don’t always adhere to strict phonetics.

There is, incidentally, or was at any rate, a racial epithet for Chinese people: “chic”, pronounced like “chick”. I don’t think most young people these days are even aware of it, though, the etymologically unrelated fashion-industry sense of the word “chic” (pronounced “sheek”) meaning dernier cri having eclipsed it rather thoroughly.

Also: Yo momma so dumb, she calls somebody a racist every time she doesn’t get a joke — which is every time somebody tells a joke.

Does Nate’s lack of a mother make him impervious to yo momma insults, or will he eventually crack under the strain?
