I thought that Gil Thorp was created by Jack Berrill. Am I mistaken?

You are correct ,Rubin and Whigham claiming creation has been discussed before. Some people think they are saying they create the strip each day now, but Jack was the real creator………….

The story lines have always been lame – though I keep on reading. But the artwork is terrible! I’ll say it again. Bring back Jack Elrod. The characters in Mark Trail, which he draws, are so much better, it’s not funny. Look at Whigham’s work today. Kaz is the only one with a real face.

This is without a doubt the poorest art ever for Gil and friends. It reminds me of Japanese animation more than anything…………and when did Gil become a hunchback?……column two……….

The artwork is part of the charm.

Agreed …. The artwork leaves something to be desired. Hire someone who really cares about the strip, not just a pay check.

I hope Coach T and Coach Kaz aren’t seen walking around Milford after having a couple of drinks. Do goody neighbor Paul will narc on them to Dr. Pearl.

Unless Rubin and Whigham own GoComics.com, I don’t think we can credit them with claiming they created “Gil Thorp.” The descriptions are pretty clearly written by the site and not the cartoonists.
