Norman: Can you see me, echo? I'm in the last row!
Norma: Yeah! I can't believe our seats are in different sections!
Norman: I guess I should've looked more closely before I bought the tickets! That scalper seemed like such a nice guy!
I don’t understand “scalping – bad!” If someone is dumb enough not to research pricing, and pays more than ticket value, why does that make the seller a criminal? On that logic, every item sold in America is a criminal act because all retailers mark up prices over the amount they paid for them – you know, to make a (read it slowly) “profit.”
Those are ticket brokers. Ticket scalping by definition is selling on the property of the event. There are many people in the business that are 100% honest.
People object because they see the original cost on the ticket. Do you blame the market because they make money on milk or every other thing they sell?
@route66paul No, we blame them because the general public can buy tickets at face value, but these “brokers” send armies of people out to wait in lines buy up the good tickets before the general public. Retail is different because the public does not usually have a chance to purchase at the wholesaler price. If I wanted to save money on milk, I would get a cow and learn to pasteurize.
I don’t see why scalping is illegal. Are they forcing people to buy these tickets at gunpoint? If you don’t like the price, don’t buy. But I agree that it is not right for someone to be able to buy the best tickets before they go on sale for the public.

Here in Utah ticket scalping is legal. Scalpers have offices and put ads in the paper.

In yesterday’s strip she was told she had a good seat, but that drawing of echo it looks like she’s in the nosebleed sections too.

Why does milk need to be pasteurized. Up to your knees would be fine
