Lacuna: The surname that results when a non-Spanish speaker misunderstands the Spanish surname Laguna which also means lagoon or small lake.

I don’t mind reading lots of text if it’s good, like Lynda Barry;s best. Ernesto is plain annoying. He’s not supposed to be enjoyed.

Some people think that just because it’s a comic, they don’t have to know how to read. Learn to break the rules. You get betel results.

Answer: 2. A husband to do it and a wife to nag that he’s doing it wrong.

It’s unclear. Others are aware of Ernesto, but it’s possible that Petey’s imagination is strong enough that its figments may be shared.

Speak for yourself – I love reading the text. One of my favorite parts of Richard’s strips is the clever writing (though I also dig the brilliant drawings, of course). Ernesto and his elaborate speeches crack me up.
