Caulfield: I found this old magazine in my basement. There's a picture of a guy in a t-shirt that says "I'm with stupid." What he really needs is one that says "I have unfortunate hair." Frazz: I'd say that's already clear enough. Caulfield: From what I understand about the 1970s, so is "stupid."

I used to tend bar at class reunions..they would all have their high school picture on their name tags….the ones from the early seventies were hilarious….even the people who wore them laughed at ’em!

The early seventies did have some great music, though, Dylan and the Band, The Dead, Allman Brothers, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, NRPS, Zeplin was still kickin’ Ooooo…and Carly Simon and Linda Ronstadt….and always the Stones….

Say what you like. T’was fun. You have fun if you BE fun, and maybe you’re a tad jealous. jealously curious, perhaps?Heck yeah, every decade has been absolutely and wildly cheerfully exciting fun…and I’d do them ALL again.

Everyone to their own opinion on music, but I will say that high school pictures are always good for a laugh. I totally smirk when I see boys these days with their long hair pushed into their face. (And yes, my high school picture was bad too)

@Sharuniboy;Close enough on the quote..I’m of the same antiquity and the person who first thought of ID pins of our high school pix oughta be taken out and shot. But slowly and with feeling, for gun to my head, I wouldn’t recognize a half-dozen of the 63 that escaped in MY clash. Yes, I said clash.

I wonder if today’s kid’s will still wear sagging pants to their reunions?

Afros are cool, though! Some of the other hair we could do away with, however.

RE: 70’s music: Rory Gallagher; check out the Europe ’72 album. If the music biz was fair, he would be a household name. (He was one of the people the Stones tapped to replace Brian Jones, but he declined, mainly because he wanted to do his own material.)
