Temporary friend? Uh-oh.

That’s pretty cold.

Next year Roy is going to meet Linus at camp, and not be able to remember the name of “that round headed kid” he met the year before.Interesting fact, it’s actually through Roy that Peppermint Patty is introduced into the strip, the year following Linus’s tenure at camp.

A friend in need is a friend indeed!

Those “forever friendships” that last about three weeks…

The important thing is that they befriended each other, and CB thinks he did something right, for a change. And he did.

Nothing wrong with those temporary friendships.

I was at sleep away camp in 1975 and I made friends with one of the counselors and after the the summerr we kept in touch after 10 years until he got married and started a family.

Yeah, I think this is one that can be read a number of ways. I think the romantic equivalent is called a “summer romance.”

Temporary friends are important and necessary. It does sound a little cold, though.

I knew someone, he & I had a life long friendship, that only lasted three days. He lost his life helping to save mine. Sometimes three days is all you get, and we knew each other better in three days than some people will in a lifetime.

My point is,,,,don’t put too much stock in what label someone puts on a friendship…maybe CB’s new friend is realistic, lives in another state, or will move away after summer camp.

Either way, CB is temporary.

Awwwwwww! Well Charlie Brown has been really sweet to him when he was crying.

I had temporary friends from camp in the 70s. They bring back fond memories.

All friendships are temporary, some just last longer than others.
