besides the shot of Hitler’s future combatants celebrating his birthday, the first item on the blog titled ‘postcard’ shows German gals sewing together WW2 German army uniforms.very haunting images
BTW – RE: Blog – Space Chimps – I participated in the Mercury Flights and we did pick up chimps that were alive … but long range? I don’t how long they survived
The aeroplane in the blog is a Farman 13, being flown by Henri Farman in January, 1908. The plane was the first to fly a closed, one-kilometer circuit, which won Farman a fifty thousand franc prize.
Weird as it seems, the Farman 13 was still flying in 1918. They were used as trainers for American aviation cadets in France (our war effort was really chaotic, and the training schools were desperate for any plane they could get.)

I believe the banjo picture is mirrored. I have seen lots of left-handed guitars and basses, but never a left-handed 5-string banjo.

Arch Stanton is correct…like the old country song…“Once A Day, Every Day, All Day Long.” I know whereof he thinks.
