I thought federal law does not allow guns to be brought into churches. I know that divisions and arguments break out in churches, even fights but this is going too far. In the Southern Baptist Churches, we are arguing over music.
“He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword.” Matt 26:52. Better for a Christian to die than to kill someone. Except perhaps in defending innocents.
Not possible for the police to derelict, as they are never required to arrest anyone.
They knew who he was, where he lived, and collected his statement.Had this not become a media frenzy, after the police completed their investigation, it would have been referred to the grand jury to determine if any further legal proceedings where warranted.
If Zimmerman had been arrested, law says he can be only held two days without charges. The evidence pointed to self-defence. The state is accusing him of murder. I would like to the evidence, before casting judgement.
“Yes the police still arrest. Usually peaceful protesters with brutality against them. Where have you been?”
You accused the police of dereliction of duty of duty for not arresting Zimmerman. I pointed out that they had no duty (as has been ruled by the US Supreme Court) to arrest him.
“Well considering Zimmerman was the only one armed an he followed Martin he was the aggressor an Martin was defending himself. Or did I miss something?”
Nope, my reading of what has been presented in the media is the same.Zimmerman f’ed up royally.Neither of us knows what actually happened, we only know what has been presented to us.
I can come up with multiple possible scenarios, ranging from Zimmerman being a murdering psychopath to him being a responsible citizen who got in over his head.
Now you’ve gone and done it, Big_Tex. Pretty soon, it’ll be “bring your shootin’ iron to church” Sunday, for the blessin’ of the arms. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of ‘em haven’t done it already.

When Jesus said “Blessed are the peace-makers”, he wasn’t talking about Colt .45’s.
